Saturn

This was a cool photo I found on CNN.com (article here). It's amazing that with everything humankind can do (e.g., gathering information from the far reaches of the universe), it took this long to get a photo like this.

I just noticed the "upper" and "lower" poles of the planet appear to be in front of the rings. Assuming we're viewing from "above"--whatever that means--one would expect the lower half of the rings to be in front of the planet.

A faked photo, perhaps?
